About Own Your Local Market
We help local service businesses build a better customer journey.
Own Your Local Market connects the systems that help a business get found, earn trust, convert more opportunities, and grow with less chaos.
Our belief is simple: growth gets easier when the entire customer journey works together.
Why OYLM Exists
The problem is rarely one missing marketing tactic.
Most growing local service businesses accumulate websites, software, ads, forms, reviews, call handling, scheduling, and follow-up one decision at a time. Eventually, those pieces stop working like one customer journey.
Our Point of View
Growth should reduce chaos, not create more of it.
More traffic cannot fix a slow response. More software cannot fix unclear ownership. More content cannot replace weak proof. More advertising cannot solve a broken follow-up process.
OYLM exists to connect the pieces around the way customers actually discover, evaluate, contact, buy from, return to, and refer a local service business.
-
1
Clarity before complexity. Know what is actually limiting growth before adding another tactic or tool.
-
2
Customer journey before channels. Search, reviews, CRM, follow-up, content, and advertising should support the same buying experience.
-
3
Proof before persuasion. Reviews, testimonials, case studies, useful content, and real work should make the decision easier.
-
4
Systems before scale. Demand should grow only when the business can capture, follow up with, measure, and convert it reliably.
How OYLM Thinks
We start with the customer journey, not a marketing channel.
The question is not automatically “How do we get more leads?” The better question is “What is stopping more of the demand we already create from becoming growth?”
Find the constraint.
MAPS helps identify whether the biggest issue is visibility, trust, lead handling, or growth readiness.
Design the journey.
We look at how buyers move from discovery to decision, purchase, repeat business, referral, and proof.
Connect what matters.
Technology, messaging, follow-up, reviews, content, search, advertising, and reporting should work as one system.
The MAPS Framework
Four questions keep the work grounded.
MAPS gives OYLM a consistent way to diagnose growth problems before recommending more tools, traffic, content, or complexity.

Explore Sell & ScaleFounder
Built from years of sales, systems, technology, and operator experience.
Andrew Biggs founded Own Your Local Market to help local service businesses build clearer systems around the way customers actually buy.
His background spans sales performance, leadership, growth systems, mobile technology, entrepreneurship, and business operations. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked around significant organizational growth, including helping grow a business from $6 million to $30 million and leading large teams.
His work later shifted toward helping entrepreneurs systemize their companies, reduce founder dependency, and create businesses that were easier to operate. OYLM applies that systems-first perspective specifically to local service businesses.
Today, the focus is practical: improve how customers find the business, understand it, contact it, move through the sales process, return, refer others, and create proof for the next buyer.
Built in the Real World
OYLM is shaped by hands-on work with service businesses.
The company’s approach comes from working directly on customer journeys, CRM systems, content, scheduling, sales processes, automation, and growth strategy across real local service businesses.

Probably not a fit
- Needs immediate short-term ROI from every initiative.
- Wants more leads without improving what happens after the lead arrives.
- Does not want the team to adopt consistent processes.
- Wants isolated tactics rather than an integrated approach.
- Wants social posting to be the primary growth strategy.
